Madison ROOTS is a community of people who live, work, and seek to thrive in Madison County, North Carolina.
Since 2020, we’ve been serving, learning and transforming together with a vision of building a beloved community where everyone belongs. We bring together neighbors from every walk of life — educators, law enforcement, elected officials, faith communities and everyday do-gooders to listen, learn and act for positive change rooted in respect, trust and solidarity.

Remembering the Life & Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Join us Jan. 19 at 9 am on the campus of Mars Hill University to honor the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Fourth Annual Soup Supper at Mt. Olive: Feb. 24
We’ll host the Annual Black History Month Fundraiser to support the maintenance and beautification the the Long Ridge Community’s Historic Mount Olive Cemetery on Feb. 24.
We’re grateful to our community and local businesses who generously supported the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 events that raised more than $10,000 to support the historic Mt. Olive Cemetery.
